Deleting Database
Introduction
Deleting a database is a significant action that will permanently remove all associated resources and data. This process should be approached with caution as it cannot be reversed. Ensure that you fully understand the implications of this action before proceeding.
Deletion Process
When you choose to delete a database, the following will occur:
- Permanency: The database, along with all its associated resources and data, will be permanently deleted. This action is irreversible and cannot be undone.
- One-Way Process: Once initiated, the deletion process is one-way. There is no option to recover or restore the deleted database or its contents.
It is crucial to ensure that you have backed up any necessary data before proceeding with deletion. Confirm that all essential information has been securely stored or transferred to another location as needed.
After Deletion
After the deletion of a database, the associated plan will remain active. This means that while the deleted database cannot be recovered, you still have the opportunity to create a new database under the same plan for the remaining duration of the plan. Ensure you take note of your plan's expiration date and any remaining resources or quotas.
If you need to create a new database, you can do so using the existing plan. The new database will function according to the terms of the plan until its end date.
